PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Albany College of Pharmacy, one of the nation’s premier scientific teaching institutions, is preparing students to excel in this new era of health care – an age where pharmacy and biomedical professionals will be at the heart of medial teams that bring hope, knowledge and continuing health to the people they serve.

Founded in 1881, Albany College of Pharmacy is New York State’s oldest pharmacy school and one of the only private, independent pharmacy schools in the United States. Nearly all of our graduates pass national and state licensure exams on the first try, and exciting, rewarding jobs typically await all graduates not continuing their education.

The College is located in the University Heights area of Albany, New York’s state capital. The city is home not only to state government, but also to a host of high-tech, financial and service firms. The region is also home to 900+ restaurants, 100+ movie theaters, 600+ houses of worship, more than a dozen hospitals, 50,000 college students and a countless number of organizations that serve them.
