Other clarifying information: Students must demonstrate proficiency in the use of a personal computer (including Microsoft Office software) at the time of matriculation into the Harrison School of Pharmacy.
Students with a prior baccalaureate degree are exempt from the English composition, literature, history, fine arts, and social science requirements, but must complete all other requirements.
History – Students must complete a sequence of world history, western civilization, or United States history.
Core Fine Arts – Students must take a course in art appreciation, art history, music appreciation, or theater appreciation. Ethics – A course in health ethics is preferred, a general ethics course is acceptable. Courses in general philosophy do not meet this requirement.
Literature – A sequence of American literature, English literature, world literature, or great books is acceptable to meet the literature requirement.
Core Social Sciences – Group I includes anthropology, geography, psychology, and sociology. Group II includes economics and political science.
Statistics – Must have a general statistics or biostatistics emphasis; a course in business statistics does not meet the requirement.
Physics – Can be either trigonometry-based or calculus-based.
Calculus – A course in business calculus does not meet the requirement.
Biochemistry, genetics/genomic biology, microbiology, and immunology – These courses must be taken at a 4-year college or university and must be upper division (junior level or higher). The biochemistry course must be a general survey course. Students at colleges and universities offering a 2-semester biochemistry sequence must take both semesters.

Interviews are held on the Auburn campus in the Walker building on weekdays. Applicants should plan for an interview day that begins about 8:30 AM and concludes at approximately 3:30 PM. Interviewees are provided the opportunity to interact with currently enrolled student pharmacists, learn about the School and its programs, and to have their questions answered.
