PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Mercer's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has maintained a tradition of excellence and legacy of caring as a provider of pharmacy education for over 100 years. Early on, the school developed a reputation for producing outstanding leaders in the profession of pharmacy, not only in Georgia but also throughout the country. That legacy of leadership lives on in the current student body members who have already begun to distinguish themselves as leaders.

Mercer's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences was the fifth in the nation and first in the Southeast to offer the entry-level Pharm.D. degree. In addition, the College offers two combined degree programs: Pharm.D./MBA and Pharm.D./Ph.D.

The student body at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is diverse, as over eighty percent of the student body is drawn from outside the Atlanta area. Mercer attracts students from over 25 states and eight foreign countries. Minority representation thrives at Mercer and continues to exceed twenty-five percent.

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences seeks to prepare its graduates to provide pharmaceutical care and thereby assure the safe and effective use of medications for the benefit of the patient and society. Caring and responsive faculty and administration provide an environment that fosters innovation, creativity, the pursuit of intellectual curiosity and a commitment to lifelong learning.
