PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

As one of the Nation's Top-Ranked colleges of pharmacy, the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy offers one-of-a kind educational experiences and outstanding preparation for any pharmacy career you choose. Your education will combine study in the classroom and laboratory with extensive hands-on clinical training. The skills you develop in these settings will enable you to succeed in all areas of pharmacy, and make you eligible for licensure as a pharmacist.

Clinical experiences begin the first year of PharmD program and are structured to offer an exceptional variety of on-location training experiences, including direct patient care and unique collaborations with pharmacists, physicians, and other health-care professionals.

To maximize one-to-one learning opportunities, we've purposely limited our College enrollment and individual class size. As a Michigan PharmD student, you'll belong to a close-knit community of about 300 pharmacy students, total with direct, personal access to hundreds of basic and clinical science faculty-many, recognized around the world as leading experts in their field.

Most of your educational experiences will take place at centers, clinics and other medical units affiliated with the University of Michigan Health System, one of the world's premier medical systems.

In addition, you'll have ready access to the exceptional libraries, laboratories, computer centers, and other state-of-the-art facilities that make the University of Michigan synonymous with quality the world over.
