The University of MN has a rolling admissions program. Please note that "rolling admissions" means that we accept and review applications on a continual basis after the Supplemental Application becomes available in August 2008.
Applicants who submit their application earlier will have priority in selection. Positions in the college and interview spaces become limited closer to the deadline. Hence, we encourage applicants to apply early. Applicants who have a PharmCAS GPA* of 3.00 (or 3.2 over the most recent 60 sem. credits) qualify for admission.
The College of Pharmacy’s supplemental application must be submitted by February 15, 2009. However, the college may stop accepting completed applications before the deadline if all interview spots are filled. Access to the supplemental application will not be permitted until the college receives a completed application from PharmCAS, which can take several weeks after the applicant submits an application to PharmCAS.
Please note: Applicants who wait until the PharmCAS deadline of Feb. 2, 2009 may not receive access to the supplemental application in time to complete it by the February 15, 2009 deadline. We strongly recommend that applicants apply early. |

you must have PCAT scores that are from June 2005 or later.
Because we operate on a rolling admissions basis, we highly recommend that applicants complete the PCAT by the October 18, 2008 test date in order for test scores to reach us by our application deadline of Feb. 15, 2009.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota is one of the outstanding pharmacy education and research institutions in the world. U.S. News and World Report ranks it as the third best college of pharmacy in the United States. Graduates of the four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program enter the profession as well qualified, highly sought after pharmacists.
The college’s programs are supported by centers of excellence in diverse areas of pharmacy, such as geriatrics, pharmacy management and economics, rural pharmacy, pharmaceutical care, and drug design and delivery. The teaching, research, and service activities of the 80 full-time faculty members and hundreds of volunteer faculty are focused in five departments: medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical care and health systems, experimental and clinical pharmacology, and pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical sciences (Duluth).
The Twin Cities campus of the college is housed in the Academic Health Center. The Duluth campus is located at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) and is housed in the Life Science building, renovated in 2007 for the college and adjacent to the Medical School, Duluth. Both campuses are designed for health education, research, and practice.
Pharmacy students have access to modern classrooms, laboratories, and more than 350,000 volumes of pharmacy resource materials. In addition, students have unique opportunities to experience rural/small town and urban pharmacy practice, interprofessional activities, and outreach to the community.
The college is fully accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education, 311 W. Superior Street, Chicago, IL 60610 (312-664-3575).
