Other clarifying information: See the school website at http://pharmacy.ucsd.edu/admissions.shtml for additional information. All applicants must have completed the requirements for a BS or BA degree prior to matriculation. A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is required. In addition, an average GPA of 3.0 or higher is required for each category of science pre-requisite courses. Each non-science pre-requisite course must be passed with a grade of C or better. For all pre-requisite courses, fundamental and introductory science courses for non-science majors are not acceptable. If multiple courses are offered in the same subject area, the courses taken should be the most academically demanding courses available at the college or university attended. In addition to the required pre-requisite courses, it is strongly suggested that students consider taking courses in physiology, biochemistry, physical chemistry, immunology, genetics, anatomy, microbiology, and statistics. Students who have taken coursework at a foreign university must follow precisely the detailed instructions on the web page for their application to be considered.
