Program Description

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences continues to build on a long tradition of educational excellence at a great value at Binghamton University. Binghamton is proud to be ranked among the elite public universities in the nation for challenging students academically, not financially. The School provides high-quality education to aspiring pharmacists at low in-state tuition or scholarship-supported out-of-state tuition. The quality of the School is exemplified in small class sizes, excellent faculty, research opportunities, and state ultramodern facilities.

* Class Size – The student-to-faculty ratio is 10-to-1, with class sizes of 85-90.
* Excellent Faculty – Students learn contemporary pharmacy skills through one-on-one interactions with dedicated faculty, who are all active in research and clinical practice. The School has compiled some of the best and most experienced faculty members in the fields of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. Some of their areas of expertise include but are not limited to, community practice, geriatrics, drug development and delivery, pharmacology, genomics, epidemiology, pharmaco-economics, ambulatory care, critical care, global health, and much more. Our current faculty have compiled more than a century’s worth of academic and research experience in the field of pharmacy and health sciences.
* Research Opportunities – Through a formal research track and a capstone experience built into the curriculum, students have the opportunity to work with leading scholars/researchers in pharmacy practice, health outcomes, and pharmaceutical science.
* Ultramodern Facilities – The School is a part of the Binghamton Health Science campus. The four-story, 85,000 square foot facility has two floors devoted to a high-quality pharmacy education program and two floors devoted to cutting-edge research.
