Program Description

A distance pathway allows Manchester to reach a broader audience and expand the mission and vision of the Pharm.D. Program into communities in and outside of Indiana. The distance pathway option removes the barrier of relocation costs for students who otherwise would not be able to pursue Manchester‘s program.

Students in the distance pathway would be required to complete some requirements on or near the Fort Wayne campus, totaling around 11 weeks over the four years of the program. These on-campus requirements include Orientation, summer lab and clinical examinations, and a fourth-year clinical experience with Manchester University faculty.

This is an asynchronous, full-time, four-year program, with an estimated 50-60 hours of schoolwork per week.

Some admitted students will be asked to participate in the Professions Transition Program in person on the Fort Wayne campus starting in early August of the entering year. Those students who fall below specific GPA or other admission metrics will be required to participate. This experience provides skills practice in communication, calculations, problem solving, and other relevant topics that will get students on the right track before starting in the fall.
