The didactic component of the extended track will span 4.5 years with online delivery,
supplemented by immersive in-person, on campus experiences for Introduction Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs) and skills development (once a year in Hilo for 2-3 weeks
each). The final year of the program, comprised of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences will be full-time, in-person.

In Fall 2023, we launched our Contemporary Curriculum, which allows for threading of topics, such as communication and calculations, throughout the curriculum contributing to cumulative application, scaffolding, and relational learning. Our goal is to help you become a highly focused and compassionate health care professional who is a culturally competent, intellectually adaptable, independent, open-minded, and disciplined individual who will be highly valued by other members of the health care team and by your community.
