  program_description: |
Located in North Chicago, IL and adjacent to the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFU) College of Pharmacy (COP) will prepare graduates for a broad array of specialties including postgraduate residency training. COP alumni work in community and health-system clinical practice, pharmaceutical industry, and academia. The program includes early immersion in clinical rotations.

A small class size promotes individualized mentorship and personalized, hands-on instruction from expert faculty. The educational experience includes early immersion into healthcare practice settings, interprofessional engagement, extensive simulation experiences, and active learning classrooms. Distinction pathways are available to augment a student’s educational journey.

This interprofessional education is what makes RFU so special. Students take classes with other students and work together in the Interprofessional Community Clinic (ICC). This allows students to learn from team-based experiences that help them develop a professional identity of their own. The ICC treats patients who are under or uninsured and would otherwise have nowhere else to go for medical care.

The RFU COP is the perfect fit for students seeking to:

    •	Be taught by accomplished faculty with experience in pharmacy
    •	Learn in a small class size
    •	Be in an environment that promotes diversity and equity
    •	Pursue other academic opportunities such as concurrent degrees and certificate programs
    •	Conduct and present research at conferences
    •	Learn from state-of-the-art simulation technology
    •	Work with students from the other health professions
