THE BEN AND MAYTEE FISCH COLLEGE OF PHARMACY The Fisch College of Pharmacy is housed in the W.T. Brookshire Hall, a state-of-the-art building, specifically designed to encourage student-faculty interaction, support our innovative teaching, and includes a variety of student-centered study spaces. The College uses Team-Based Learning (TBL) as our primary teaching/learning method. In TBL, students are accountable for learning fundamental concepts outside the classroom and applying these in class to solve real-world problems. International applicants are considered to be those candidates who are not US citizens and not lawful permanent residents. International applicants may be considered for admission and may have additional requirements. The Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) requires all pharmacy students to submit a Social Security Number (SSN) when applying for their pharmacy intern license. Social security numbers are available to all US citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents, and aliens who are authorized to work in the US. In order to obtain an SSN, the international applicant must be able to work within the US when the first professional year starts. Applicants with an F or J visa may be considered for admission to the Pharm.D. program. Applicants must also be eligible to work within the US and obtain a Social Security Number.

Participation in JumpStart during the summer before matriculation is expected for new students. Required orientation programming occurs the week prior to the start of classes for all PharmD students. CPR certification is provided during orientation.
