The Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy at High Point University in High Point, North Carolina provides a student-centered Doctor of Pharmacy program that integrates biomedical sciences, clinical sciences, and hands-on patient care experiences from the beginning of the curriculum. Our integrated curriculum is designed to prepare students for the future of pharmacy practice by developing not only strong clinical knowledge and technical competence, but also the communication, leadership, professionalism, and critical thinking skills needed to excel as members of the healthcare team. At FWSOP, students learn in a supportive, relationship-centered environment where faculty mentorship, collaboration, and individualized attention are central to the student experience.

Applicants do not have to complete all prerequisites before applying. Applicants with outstanding prerequisites must list planned coursework in PharmCAS. All admitted applicants will meet with an admissions coordinator to define a plan for completing remaining prerequisites. All admitted applicants applying during the 2026-2027 PharmCAS application cycle must complete 65 hours of coursework prior to matriculation into the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Your interview at High Point University’s Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy is an opportunity for you to explore our pharmacy program, meet our faculty and students, and gain a deeper understanding of what High Point University has to offer. Applicants will be provided an overview of our program, two individual interviews with faculty members as well as the opportunity to meet with pharmacy students to hear their perspective regarding the School of Pharmacy and HPU. Additional details for accepted applicants:

The tentative first day of the mandatory orientation for the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy will be August 11, 2027 (subject to change). Incoming students are required to attend orientation in order to learn more about the pharmacy program and School of Pharmacy policies, download needed software on their computers, interact with classmates, meet current pharmacy students as well as faculty and staff, and participate in community service. Classes are expected to start on August 16, 2027.
