Pathway. Courses integrate information and build upon one another to provide the knowledge and skills to prepare students for the profession. The curriculum focuses on clinical courses, coursework to prepare students for practice, and to take the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination® (NAPLEX®), and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination® (MPJE®), components of the licensure process to practice as a pharmacist. Outside of the United States, pharmacy programs typically focus on pharmaceutics or dosage forms. The growth of patient-care responsibilities has created the need for pharmacists to study disease process, acquire pharmacotherapeutic knowledge and improve patient monitoring skills.
