  program_description: |
The Advanced Standing Program (for international pharmacy graduates), is a three-year accelerated program, which educates students to achieve the same outcomes as the Entry-Level four-year Pharm.D. program. Courses integrate information and build upon one another to provide the knowledge and skills to prepare students for the profession. The curriculum focuses on clinical courses, coursework to prepare students for practice, and to take the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination® (NAPLEX®), and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination® (MPJE®), components of the licensure process to practice as a pharmacist. Outside of the United States, pharmacy programs typically focus on pharmaceutics or dosage forms. The growth of patient-care responsibilities has created the need for pharmacists to study disease process, acquire pharmacotherapeutic knowledge and improve patient monitoring skills. Students admitted with advanced standing may have individualized coursework, depending on their previous pharmacy coursework. The Advanced Standing curriculum outline is representative of the typical international pharmacy graduate entering the Pharm.D. program. Please visit our website for further information regarding admissions requirements and procedures.

Upon receipt of the PharmCAS Application, NSU College of Pharmacy will generate a secondary application to the applicant by email. It is highly suggested that the applicant check their junk mail and spam mail. If students do not receive an email, you may submit NSU supplemental application via:
(please select graduate account on right hand side).
You will not need to resubmit your documents to NSU portal if you have sent your documents to PharmCAS unless you have completed coursework outside of the U.S. In that case, you will need to request a foreign evaluation report by a NACES approved agency that includes a course by course evaluation and overall GPA calculation.
