Program Description The South College School of Pharmacy is located in Knoxville, Tennessee and offers a unique 3-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) curriculum. South College School of Pharmacy is the original, and remains the only, exclusively accelerated PharmD program in Tennessee. A supportive environment is offered to students including accessible faculty who pride themselves on availability to students, the curricular options to meet individual student interest through research options and rotation preferences, and a student body who is actively involved in the community. The School of Pharmacy enjoys a diverse student body that contributes to understanding the needs of diverse populations served.

The South College School of Pharmacy curriculum entails 2 years of didactic coursework, followed by 9 months of Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE). Students can complete their entire curriculum in Knoxville, TN or choose the option to pursue out-of-area rotations for some IPPE and APPE rotations. The South College School of Pharmacy is proud to partner with a variety of IPPE and APPE sites located across the United States. Available options for students to consider in their studies include a research concentration, clinical research certificate, and the option to start a MBA degree for completion following graduation at a reduced cost.

One letter must be submitted by a faculty member who taught the applicant in the pre-pharmacy curriculum or the applicant's pre-professional advisor at the college or university where the applicant completed the pre-pharmacy curriculum. It is preferred that one letter be submitted by a pharmacist who supervised the applicant in an employee or volunteer capacity. Briefly describe your institution's interview process: South College School of Pharmacy conducts small group interview days for invited applicants. For a portion of the interview day, applicants will have an individual interview with either one or two interviewers. On-campus interviews are preferred, but the South College School of Pharmacy will consider interviews conducted via video calling software in certain situations. Not all applicants will be extended an offer to interview, and offering of an interview is not an indication that the applicant will be accepted.
