The Wegmans School of Pharmacy (WSoP) at St. John Fisher University prepares future pharmacists for lives of intellectual, professional, and civic integrity. The Fisher Pharm.D. curriculum is offered through two formats, a campus-based pathway and an online pathway, both delivering the same rigorous curriculum and degree outcomes. Fisher Pharm.D. Online expands access to this high-quality education, allowing students to complete their degree while remaining in their home communities. Students participate in live, faculty-led classes and benefit from the same personalized, high-touch learning environment that defines the Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Experiential education comprises more than 30% of the curriculum, with students completing supervised clinical rotations in a variety of pharmacy and healthcare settings within their local regions. The Wegmans School of Pharmacy prefers applicants to receive an actual letter grade (A-B-C) for all math and science courses. In the absence of an actual letter grade, alternative grades (e.g., S or P) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All required science courses (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) require a laboratory component. Advanced Placement courses are NOT accepted to fulfill science requirements. Three Biology courses are required. General Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology are recommended. The Wegmans School of Pharmacy prefers best earned grades of C or better in all prerequisite courses; applicants with grades of C- in prerequisite courses will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis Prerequisites must be completed PRIOR to matriculation into the Wegmans School of Pharmacy.
