Program Description
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Pharmacy offers the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with the expanded role of the pharmacist in mind.
TTUHSC School of Pharmacy's program is student centered, focusing on problem-based educational strategies. The curriculum provides an integrated course context of pathophysiology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry and therapeutics, built on a solid understanding of the biomedical sciences. It offers expanded practice management instruction and clinical experiences early and throughout the four-year professional program. Each of the curricular and instructional strategies has been precisely balanced to give the academic and clinical preparation to optimally succeed in any pharmaceutical profession. The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is a specialized test used by colleges of pharmacy to identify qualified applicants based on academic aptitude and scientific knowledge.
• The PCAT requirement will be waived for applicants who have a 3.5 overall GPA and 3.5 pre-pharmacy GPA for the Fall 2021 application cycle
• Students who have an overall GPA and pre-pharmacy GPA below a 3.5 must take the PCAT for admission

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy only accepts course-by-course FTER's from World Education Services (www.wes.org) that are sent to PharmCAS. Foreign transcripts are not accepted. International Student deadline 11/1/20 for all applications and documentation to be submitted including a course-by-course FTER foreign transcript evaluation submitted to PharmCAS.
Another supplemental application is required for International Students. The course-by-course evaluation must be from an evaluation service listed in the PharmCAS www.pharmcas.org Applicant instructions. Consideration will also be given to evaluation service members of www.naces.org.

An official TOEFL score report indicating a minimum of 650 paper-based/280 computer-based/114 internet-based is required. Official TOEFL scores must be sent to PharmCAS. The TOEFL is waived for international applications who complete a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or for those who are a citizen of a country whose native language is English.
