Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy offers the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with the expanded role of the pharmacist in mind.
TTUHSC School of Pharmacy's program is student centered, focusing on problem-based educational strategies. The curriculum provides an integrated course context of pathophysiology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry and therapeutics, built on a solid understanding of the biomedical sciences. It offers expanded practice management instruction and clinical experiences early and throughout the four-year professional program. Each of the curricular and instructional strategies has been precisely balanced to give the academic and clinical preparation to optimally succeed in any pharmaceutical profession. Our preferred minimum GPA is 3.00 for both the overall and pre-pharmacy GPA. However, we conduct a holistic review of each candidate that includes the candidate's GPA, application essays, letters of recommendation, participation in extracurricular activities, leadership responsibilities, work experience, and PCAT score (if applicable) in order to determine eligibility for admission.

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center requires an official U.S. equivalency course-by-course evaluation for all foreign coursework outside the United States. Foreign transcripts are not accepted. World Education Services (www.wes.org) can be sent directly to PharmCAS. We will also accept U.S. equivalency course-by-course evaluations from companies who are members of ATA, AACRAO, and/or NASFA.
If an applicant is classified as an international applicant, we will require additional application items that will be added to the supplemental checklist. Foreign evaluations and the additional international application items are all due by the December 1st (date is subject to change, please contact our office at 806-414-9393 for verification).
