The PharmD/MBA dual degree option at Cedarville enables you to earn an MBA online, saving you time and money while equipping you with a highly-desirable credential that will increase your future career opportunities. The PharmD curriculum is designed so that MBA courses count as PharmD electives. Consequently, you end up taking just 6 or 7 additional courses and investing about $10,000 extra to earn your MBA.

GPA and Credit Hour Criteria
Applicants with grade point averages below 3.0 may be considered for admission. The admissions committee also considers the overall academic background, experience, and interview in selecting candidates for admission.
Credits must be earned at accredited universities. International applicants must submit original transcripts plus WES evaluations.

The brief, free, Cedarville University Supplemental Application provides the Pharmacy Admissions Committee with additional personal information about the applicant's faith in Christ and their Christian commitment. It also requires a recommendation from the applicant's pastor, a church leader, or spiritual mentor.

Applicants who have exposure to pharmacy through shadowing or employment have an advantage in their pharmacy admission interview because of their practical knowledge of the profession. Consequently, if you have have the opportunity, spend time shadowing a pharmacist or working in a pharmacy.

Cedarville University requires a minimum of two recommendations, one from a professional relationship, i.e. employer, pharmacist, healthcare professional, professor, etc, and the other from someone who knows you spiritually, i.e. a spiritual mentor, leader from your church, Bible study, or ministry, or a pastor from the church you attend. You may submit the recommendations through PharmCAS or directly to the University with your supplemental application.

The interview is the final step in the admission process. Invitations to interview are contingent upon a verified PharmCAS application, acceptable academic credentials, and a completed supplemental application. Interviews typically occur on campus so that applicants can learn about the School of Pharmacy and meet faculty, staff, and students through the experience. However, online interviews are also available when traveling to campus is not possible. The admission interview includes two components, a meeting with two pharmacy faculty members and then a meeting with our dean or one of his administrative team members.
